Times quotes report from Chungking by Dr. Gordon King of Hong Kong University to effect that British civilians are confined in Indian warders' quarters of Stanley Prison and suffering from shortage of food overcrowding and lack of medical supplies. Missionaries interned at Canton in similar conditions. Few foreigners in south China in Japanese hands likely to survive war unless conditions improve.
